A good performance with some room for improvement. Ura was the weak point of this grading. No doubt it’s a lot harder performing all your moving basics (especially kicks) in Ura. You really have to work twice as hard as those not performing ura. However you know that’s part of the grading so you should be prepared for this.
As I have mentioned many times in the past, the grading is an open book test. We provide you all the answers before the test and we tell you exactly whats expected. So if you still are unable to perform these techniques you need to question whether you should in fact be doing the grade.
Kata was very strong this time around. Self defence was weak and needs work (not mentioning any names Jason). However the kumite/fighting was very strong.
Particular mention to Jason Rawlins for completing his 20 man kumite (next stop is the 40 man).
Peter Chiricosta’s extra training is really starting to pay off.
Jack, Nick and Lilly – congratulations’ for getting off white belt
Next up – Nationals Nov 1st – no excuses!!
