Overall a good effort put in by all. I would recommend all students considering grading, speak with your instructor first and make sure you have all technical aspects, kata and terminoloy in order before even attempting the next level.
We judge students on all aspects of the karate syllubus, which is available to everyone. If you don't know any area of your level then you should not be attempting the grading. In this situation near enough is not good enough. We appropriete we want good technique and you must know your kata.
I look forward to seeing everyone back in the dojo next week training hard.
